On the 1st day of the event, our Deputy General Manager – Cyrille Guyon delivered a speech about “Digital Automatic Coupling – Challenge for Rail Freight “. He focused on the current situation of rail freight in Europe, on the European Green Deal and on the need to “shift to rail” to achieve the targets for 2030 (from 18% in Europe to 30%).
In front of a large audience, he explained the key role of the DAC (Digital Automatic Coupling), how it works, what are the benefits, what are the requirements and the necessary steps, as well as the bricks of the intelligent freight train.
